We are thrilled to announce our first geocache will be left at a location in China. Happy hunting for all those geo caching enthusiasts. We will also have a China gift to a lucky winner for the Chinese New Year of 2019......we will keep you posted. 2018 was Chinese Year of the Dog. 2019 is the Year of the Pig. China is the home to approximately 475 million pigs - over half of the world's pig population. We will put some of the greatest pig crafts right here!! The 2019 Chinese New Year begins February 5th. Another great activity is to create the most awesome dragon face and let the students decorate a paper plate and attach streamers to make a sick dragon for display in January and February.
When introducing China start with some facts:
* China is the world's largest producer of cement!
* It is estimated that over 30 million people dwell in caves.
* China is the second-largest country by land area!
* China has a mighty army with the second-largest defense budget!
* Tea was discovered BY ACCIDENT in China.....have some tea when you study China.
* Shanghai is a global financial center full of skyscrapers and booming business!
* The iconic Great Wall of China is a popular tourist attraction.
